For the past 25 years, the Southern Interstate Youth Convention (SIYC)
has ministered to, supported and encourage many of our youth and young adults. The SIYC's vision was to give  our young ministers, leaders, teachers and musicians an opportunity to use their gifts and talents to glorify God on a scale larger than what they had previously experienced. The intent was allow them the platform, regionally, nationally and internationally eventually to praise the heavenly father and, through the identification, usage and magnification of those gifts and talents, reach, touch and transform millions.

The SIYC has been reformulated. The focus now is not just for the youth, but to the entire family. It is for this reason our leadership has made the decision to change our name from Southern Interstate Youth Ministry to the Southern Interstate Ministries Conference (SIMC).

Through our partnership with Mid-America Christian University, the SIMC School of Ministry will host a special pastor's and minister's round table to discuss a few of the issues church leadership continually find themselves facing and confronting. Our sincere, honest and open identification of these issues are the seeds we plant to better ourselves and our ministry. Our discussion of these issues coupled with proven, scripture filled resolutions are the cultivation of the fruit the "seeds" will bare. Continual, collective fellowship, utilizing what we discuss, learn and apply, makes the multiplication of our blessings, the "gifts" that will be our reward, that much easier to receive.

Our prayer is that we will grow in the Lord and make a stand to live for Him before our peers, and represent ourselves as “Radical Soldiers in the Army of God!”
