Rev. Lisa Pearson, Music Ministry Coordinator

Rev. Lisa Pearson is a native of Bastrop, Louisiana and grew up worshipping at Pearl Street Church of God under the leadership of Rev. Sarah Finley and Rev. Jean Posey.  This was the beginning of her many years of playing the piano.  After getting married, she moved to Kendleton, TX (Bay Ridge Christian College) where her husband was a student.  She then became a musician at the Rosenberg 1st Church of God and later became the Minister of Music.

Lisa is married to her pastor and best friend, Venoy Pearson of nineteen years and they have two children, Alexandria and Venoy, III “Trey”.  She currently serves as an Associate Minister and Minister of Music at Rosenberg 1st COG under the leadership of Rev. Venoy Pearson.

Lisa is one who truly believes in everyone using the gifts that God gives to each of us and has thus served in several capacities in the church her entire life.  In addition to being a musician and minister, she has served as a Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Teacher, Youth Leader, WCG Retreat Chairperson, CWC Treasurer, and MEM (Marriage Enrichment Ministry) Facilitator.  She has served as Music Coordinator for the Southern Interstate Ministries Conference for eight plus years.  It is a delight to serve God and to work in the gifts and ministries that God has given her.

As Music Coordinator for the SIMC, she endeavors to help nurture the up and coming musicians, singers, soloist and directors as well as allow the seasoned musicians to serve in a larger arena. Music is a vital part of our worship to God and is a powerful form of expression. Not only does it communicate thoughts and ideas, but it also conveys emotions and feelings.  It is our privilege and duty to carry out Psalm 98-4-6.

“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises. 5 Sing to the Lord with the harp, With the harp and the sound of a psalm, 6 With trumpets and the sound of a horn;”
